Childhood Tragedies

It's been forever since my last update! I have to apologize for taking so long to post these, the following watercolor paintings are from the end of my spring semester during my Junior year at MICA. They're all bound into the book shown, titled 1976, inspired by the color palette used in these paintings.











Each painting is 5x7 inches and done with watercolor.

Zodiac Gnomes


This piece combines the most common flowers relating to each of the six astrological signs I chose to illustrate. It is done using watercolor and measures 7x5 inches. The following six pieces each measure 3x3 inches and were done in January 2008.

Equality


These are two of three illustrations done for the story "Harrison Bergeron" by Kurt Vonnegut in January 2008. I used graphite and experimented with watercolor on each of the 5x5 inch squares.
